Tapas TrainingTapas Training is an in-depth study program that will take your yoga practice to the next level. We designed Tapas Training to fit two groups of people:
- Those who want to dive deeper into yoga without the major commitment of teacher training.
- Those who have already done a teacher training but are intrigued by the Your Yoga style and want to learn more about our approach to the practice
About one third of that time is spent on the physical practice: refining your understanding and mastery of the poses and movements through the unique, dynamic Your Yoga approach. Another third is spent studying the philosophical and historical context of the yoga practices of today, as well as introducing you to pranayama (breathwork) and meditation techniques. In many traditions, these aspects of the practice are considered the "next step" after the poses. The final third of the program is a transformative self-inquiry ('svadhyaya' in Sanskrit) that will give you powerful insights into your own life.
For many people, Tapas Training represents a pivot point in their practice. If you've reached a stage where you feel like yoga is having a significant positive impact in your life, yet you feel as though there's something more to be had, then Tapas Training is about uncovering that "something more". The beauty of this is that what you'll encounter isn't a dogmatic philosophy or stale formula, but rather a set of practices and inquiries that will lead you to your own truth and sense of freedom.
